Job Description
This role involves operating, setting up, and performing routine maintenance on high-precision production equipment in a metal stamping and forming environment. The machine operator ensures parts meet customer specifications, follows established procedures, and supports a clean, efficient, and safety-focused production operation.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and tend high-precision metal stamping and forming equipment to produce parts that meet customer specifications.
- Set up machines according to production requirements and standard operating procedures.
- Interpret and understand piece part drawings to ensure correct dimensions and tolerances.
- Continuously observe machines while running to verify stable operation and consistent product quality.
- Measure parts using appropriate inspection tools, including toolmaker microscopes and comparators, to confirm they meet specifications.
- Inspect raw materials before use to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Accurately enter production and inspection data and complete all required inspection sheets and documentation.
- Make tooling adjustments as needed to keep parts within specification and maintain consistent quality.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and palletizing of finished parts in accordance with company standards.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient workflow.
- Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of machines to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues related to quality, equipment, or production flow.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned to support production and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience operating, setting up, and performing maintenance on high-precision production equipment in a metal stamping and forming environment.
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production manufacturing processes.
- Ability to accurately measure parts using inspection tools such as toolmaker microscopes, comparators, and other measuring instruments.
- Good record-keeping skills and ability to maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing parts to exact specifications.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a production team.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a demonstrated desire to learn.
- Willingness to work overtime when required to meet production demands.
- Ability to work in assembly plants with frequent standing, lifting, and walking.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Machining skills are a plus and can support more complex equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Welding skills are an advantage for supporting broader maintenance or fabrication needs.
- Experience using a variety of measuring and inspection tools in a production environment.
- Familiarity with production lines and general labor tasks within a manufacturing setting.
- Comfort working in a structured environment that follows standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in metal stamping, forming, or similar production settings.

Work Environment
This position is based in a clean, well-maintained manufacturing facility that operates under regulated conditions. The role involves working in assembly plants with frequent standing, lifting, and walking throughout the shift. The primary schedule is a 1st half-days shift, running Sunday, Monday, Tuesday with rotating Wednesdays from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and additional shifts are available to support various production needs. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to standard operating procedures, and the use of high-precision metal stamping and forming equipment along with measuring and inspection tools. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $39520.00/yr.
