About the Role:
As a CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Sr. Director, you will lead and develop the health, safety, and environmental programs for a large, growing Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical client.
Highly prefer residence in states of MA, PA, NJ, GA or FL and travel will be up to about 50% to various client sites in this portfolio.
Must hold strong transformative, driving leadership, high level of client-interfacing and change management on a global scale.
What You'll Do:
Lead all of client account HSE programs and support digital transformation including FM Operations, Project Management and Lab Services scope.
Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
Approve all final playbook and procedure changes. Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.
Develop strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents.
Subject matter expert for government agencies, professional health, safety, and environmental organizations,
etc.
Provide information to executive management about health, safety, and environmental issues, compliance, trends, performance, and concerns.
Ensure all regulatory compliance needs are being met across all accounts.
Apply deep knowledge of multiple disciplines, broad industry knowledge, and commercial awareness. Drive financial and functional performance within disciplines and across business.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Negotiate with senior management, customers, and external parties of divergent interests to reach an agreement of strategic importance while being guided by the business segment and the organization's functional strategy.
Conceptualize new methods, techniques, processes, and standards across job disciplines or functions.
Direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems by applying advanced critical thinking.
