Job Title: Construction Administrator
Job Description
Monitor and coordinate on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with architectural and engineering designs, specifications, and technical documents. Enforce the integrity of the architect’s design throughout the construction process. Review, track, and process contractor submittals (shop drawings, material submittals, etc.) to ensure conformance with the project requirements. Review and process change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms and conditions. Maintain and distribute meeting minutes for project-related meetings, including site meetings, design team meetings, and contractor coordination meetings. Address and resolve construction issues that arise in the field, collaborating with the design team and contractors to develop effective solutions. Ensure that the construction process adheres to established schedules and budgets, while maintaining high-quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections and provide reports on progress, quality, and any discrepancies with the design intent. Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and contractors on-site for construction-related matters. Assist in ensuring that all project documentation is accurate, organized, and up to date.

Essential Skills
- Minimum 7 years of experience in construction administration, preferably in public sector projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Archisnapper, Bluebeam
- Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, E-Builder)
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, technical drawings, and specifications
- Experience working closely with contractors and construction teams to resolve issues in the field
- Project coordination experience
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel throughout the State of NJ
- Strong risk management skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the design team and other project stakeholders
- Prefer to have architectural experience but would consider someone from Construction Management if they know how to read drawings
