Job Description
The Cleanroom Technician assembles, inspects, and prepares electrical panels and circuit boards in a controlled cleanroom environment, following detailed documentation and drawings. This role supports production by performing precision assembly tasks, operating manual and automated tools, completing production documentation, and collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of products.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, inspect, and prepare electrical panels and printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to related documentation, drawings, and work instructions.
- Trim and form leaded parts with precision to meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
- Apply PCB masking using liquid mask and Kapton tape in accordance with process requirements.
- Perform PCB depanelization using both manual and automated singulation tools while maintaining product integrity.
- Properly complete all required production documentation, including travelers, checklists, and quality records.
- Communicate effectively with Cell Team Leaders about part shortages, quality issues, and process problems.
- Manually apply epoxy, conformal coating, and RTV following related documentation, drawings, and safety guidelines.
- Perform final assembly tasks, including pack and ship activities, as required to support on-time order fulfillment.
- Rotate between different workstations and production cells as needed to support workflow and cross-training.
- Complete hour-by-hour forms or other documentation for cycle time and performance analysis when required.
- Assemble, inspect, and prepare complex multilevel builds using wire diagrams, torque specifications, and other technical documentation.
- Operate production and assembly equipment safely and efficiently while following established procedures.
- Inspect work for defects and compliance with quality standards, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with cleanroom and facility standards.
Essential Skills
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand assembly documentation, drawings, and basic blueprints.
- Manual dexterity to handle small components and perform detailed assembly work.
- Basic experience with production, general labor, or general production environments.
- Ability to perform PCB assembly tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions and document work clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Capability to lift up to 20 lbs as part of routine job duties.
- Ability to follow cleanroom procedures and production guidelines consistently.
- Basic inspection skills to identify defects and verify conformance to standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with conformal coating application on circuit boards.
- Experience with masking processes, including the use of liquid mask and Kapton tape.
- Familiarity with machine operation in a production or assembly setting.
- Experience with production assembly of circuit boards or electronic components.
- Ability to interpret basic wire diagrams and torque specifications for multilevel builds.
- IPC-A-610 certification preferred, but not required.
- Comfort working in a structured, documentation-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

Work Environment
This role is based in a cleanroom production environment focused on assembling and inspecting electrical panels and printed circuit boards. The position involves standing or sitting for extended periods, handling small components, and occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs. Work follows structured procedures and documentation, including hour-by-hour forms and production records. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to cleanroom protocols, with appropriate attire and protective gear required to maintain product quality and safety. Hours and shifts follow standard production schedules set by the facility.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Albuquerque, NM.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
