Job Description
The Fabrication Fitter is responsible for assembling, fitting, and welding stainless steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications to produce high-quality fabricated parts and assemblies. This role requires strong technical skills in metal fabrication, precision measuring, and an in-depth understanding of stainless-steel materials and fabrication techniques.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cut various diameter tubing and fittings to conform to customer specifications.
- Utilize measuring devices such as calipers, height gauges, and tape measures on a daily basis.
- Perform job functions in a safe and efficient manner.
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop plans.
- Assist in developing designs for welding projects.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Essential Skills
- Experience in TIG welding and metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools.
- In-depth understanding of stainless steel materials and fabrication techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in basic mathematics is preferred.
- Willingness to learn is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
