Job Description
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting and executing the organization’s HR strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. This role focuses on attracting, developing, and retaining talent while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations. The Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic partner to leadership, providing guidance on HR best practices and driving initiatives across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that support all stages of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment through offboarding.
- Ensure all HR practices align with organizational goals, compliance standards, and applicable local, state, and federal employment regulations.
- Partner with leadership to design and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and workforce planning initiatives.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key HR metrics and analytics to inform leadership decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Support internal communication efforts related to HR programs, policies, organizational changes, and key updates to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
- Lead or support change management initiatives, including the rollout of new HR programs, tools, systems, or processes.
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives and support talent acquisition efforts, helping to attract and retain high-quality candidates.
- Oversee and support HR programs such as recruitment, onboarding, training and development, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Ensure effective administration of HR systems, processes, and records, maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment to address HR needs and support operational effectiveness.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 3 years in a Manager or Director-level role.
- Proven experience in human resource management across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and separation.
- Demonstrated expertise in change management and coaching to support organizational initiatives and transitions.
- Hands-on experience in recruiting management and talent management in a dynamic environment.
- Strong background in HR administration, including HR systems, processes, and recordkeeping.
- Experience managing employee benefits and benefits administration.
- In-depth knowledge of HR management principles, practices, and applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures consistently and fairly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with leadership, managers, and employees.
- Analytical skills to monitor, interpret, and report on HR metrics and analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and supporting operations-focused teams.
- Demonstrated ability to support employer branding and talent acquisition initiatives.
- Familiarity with performance management frameworks and employee engagement programs.
- Experience leading or supporting the implementation of new HR tools, systems, or processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong coaching skills to guide managers and employees through HR-related challenges.
This role operates in a manufacturing environment and supports a site-based workforce. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Human Resources Manager collaborates closely with operations and leadership teams on-site and works with HR systems and tools to manage data, processes, and reporting. The environment emphasizes safety, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, and requires a professional presence appropriate for both office and production-floor interactions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kingston, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.07 - $62.50/hr.
