This is not your average desk job—you’ll be out in the field 70–80% of the time, working on a wide range of commercial and residential projects across the five boroughs. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conducting geotechnical field investigations including soil sampling, coring, and boring.
• Performing on-site inspections and providing technical support throughout NYC.
• Utilizing AutoCAD to design deep foundations, support of excavation (SOE), underpinning systems, and retaining walls.
• Writing detailed geotechnical reports including load test details, drilling logs, soil/rock classifications, and calculations.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Experience with soil boring, drilling, test pits, and geotechnical investigations.
• Familiarity with deep foundation systems, excavation, and soil testing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; bonus if you’ve worked with gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, LPILE, GRLWEAP, MSEW, or SHAKE.
• Strong technical writing skills for reports and field documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EIT or PE license (or working toward it).
• Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (preferred, not required).
• OSHA 30, OSHA SST, or HAZWOPER 40 (training provided if needed).
