We are seeking a Materials Science Laboratory Technician to support our R&D efforts in a dynamic lab environment.

This role is ideal for candidates with abackgroundin physical or life sciences and hands-on laboratory experience, particularly in materials testing or biology labs.


Must-Have Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Physical or Life Sciences (Materials Science preferred)
  2. 1–2 years of laboratory experience
  3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Manually alloy, mount, and count metal samples
  • Prepare and handle various sample types for testing
  • Follow and enforce laboratory safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and results
  • Collaborate with a team of 3–4 technicians and scientists

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a biology lab, especially with pipetting
  • Familiarity with sample preparation or testing of metals
  • Background in materials science or engineering, particularly metallurgy
  • Prior experience in a research & development or materials testing lab


Work Environment

  • Lab-based role in a collaborative, 20-person startup team
  • Located in a premier life sciences facility in Manhattan
  • Flexible work hours within an 8 AM – 7 PM window
