Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will design electrical systems under the guidance of a professional engineer. Your responsibilities will include electrical distribution, grounding, backup power, general power distribution, lighting design and control, as well as fire alarm and lightning protection systems. You will perform system design calculations and analyze electrical distribution options, all while gaining expertise in building codes and standards. Additionally, you will prepare detailed design documents for power, lighting, and fire alarm systems, coordinating your work with architects and engineers from other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including distribution, grounding, and backup power.
• Perform system design calculations and analyze distribution options.
• Review and learn relevant building codes and standards.
• Prepare design documents detailing power, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Coordinate work with architects and engineers from other disciplines.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to prepare schematics, one-line diagrams, contract documents, and reports.
• Experience in designing electrical distribution, grounding, backup power, lighting design and control, and fire alarm and lightning protection systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• EIT/ P.E (Professional Engineer) certification or interested in pursuing this!
• Self-motivated and enjoys collaborative problem solving.
• Good planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Interest in sustainable and innovative design approaches.
