Job Description
We are seeking a Testing Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of testing initiatives across complex projects. This role is responsible for ensuring systems, processes, and equipment are thoroughly validated prior to launch, minimizing risk and driving high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate operates with a high level of ownership, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can manage cross-functional dependencies while ensuring testing milestones are met. This is a field role.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end testing strategy and execution across projects, ensuring readiness for launch.
- Define testing scope, timelines, and success criteria in alignment with project goals.
- Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to execute test plans and resolve defects.
- Track and manage defects, risks, and dependencies, driving timely resolution and mitigation.
- Lead test events, such as system validation, UAT, and operational testing, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
- Monitor testing progress, provide regular updates, and escalate risks to leadership as needed.
- Validate system performance, throughput, and operational readiness against defined standards.
- Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and failure points, and implement corrective actions to improve outcomes.
- Troubleshoot system, process, and operational issues, driving root cause resolution to minimize impact on timelines.
- Facilitate test review meetings, document results, and ensure clear communication of next steps.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects.
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise project updates, including risk assessments and executive summaries for leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 4–7 years of experience in project management, testing, or related field.
- Experience coordinating testing efforts across cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- Experience in system implementation, operations, or engineering environments.
- Familiarity with system validation and defect management processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across teams.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
This role involves up to 80% domestic travel, including extended travel periods with consecutive weeks, including weekends. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring high levels of adaptability and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $58.00/hr.
