TEKsystems' client is currently hiring an IT Service Desk Technician on a contract basis. We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Service Desk Technician to provide first-line technical support to end users. In this role, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, manage service requests, and ensure timely resolution of technical problems. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a solid understanding of IT systems, and a passion for helping others navigate technology challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support via phone, email, and chat
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Document issues and resolutions in our ticketing system
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to escalate complex problems
- Educate users on best practices and self-service tools
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years in a technical support or help desk role (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and common SaaS platforms
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, Jira)
- A calm, empathetic approach to customer service
Nice to Have
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification
- Experience with remote desktop tools and basic scripting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
