Job Title: Commercial Plumber
Job Description
This role focuses on installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and piping systems on commercial and industrial projects. You will work on new construction and existing systems, handling water, gas, and sanitation lines, and ensuring all installations operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with codes and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Install, build, and maintain valves, fittings, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures in commercial and industrial settings.
- Work with both water and gas supply lines, as well as sanitation and sewage lines, to support new builds, buildouts, and industrial projects.
- Cut, weld, thread, and assemble pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures to connect to existing systems and new installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and layouts to plan and execute accurate piping and plumbing installations.
- Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve issues that arise during installation to ensure equipment functions properly and customers remain fully satisfied.
- Work primarily with PVC, CPVC, PEX, and copper tubing to build and connect systems, including tying into main lines.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations, repairs, and modifications.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and site-specific safety protocols at all times on commercial and industrial job sites.
- Collaborate in teams of 2–3 technicians under the direction of a foreman or lead to complete projects efficiently.
- Travel directly to job sites or ride along with the crew, depending on project requirements.
Essential Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in commercial or industrial plumbing and pipefitting.
- Strong construction, plumbing, and pipefitting experience with proven field experience.
- Proficiency working with PEX, CPVC, PVC, and copper pipes and tubing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and piping layouts.
- Skilled in threading, welding, and brazing for piping systems.
- Experience installing and assembling piping, valves, fittings, and fixtures.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a good driving record.
- OSHA 10 certification or the ability to obtain and maintain OSHA certification.
- Proficient use of hand and power tools commonly used in plumbing and pipefitting.
- Ability to work safely and productively on active commercial and industrial construction sites.

- Experience working on commercial new builds, buildouts, and industrial environments.
- Comfort working with both water and gas supply lines, as well as sanitation and sewage systems.
- Ability to follow directions from a foreman or lead and work effectively within small crews.

- Reliability and punctuality for early morning start times and extended work hours when needed.

Work Environment
Work takes place on active commercial and industrial job sites, including new construction and buildout environments. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending around 3:30 p.m., with regular opportunities for additional hours. You will typically work in teams of 2–3 technicians under a foreman or lead, either commuting directly to the job site or riding along with the crew, depending on the project. The role requires OSHA certification and adherence to strict safety protocols. The environment involves the use of standard plumbing and pipefitting tools and equipment, working with materials such as PVC, CPVC, PEX, and copper, and operating in typical construction conditions, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and physical tasks.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
