We are seeking dedicated and safety-focused Flaggers to join our team in supporting roadway construction and maintenance projects. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety of workers, drivers, and pedestrians by effectively directing traffic flow around active work zones.
Responsibilities- Direct and control traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios to maintain safe movement through work zones.
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades according to company and state standards.
- Monitor road and worksite conditions and adjust traffic control patterns as needed to ensure safety.
- Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and the public to coordinate safe operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues immediately.
- Stand for extended periods and remain attentive throughout the shift, regardless of weather conditions.
- Experience in construction, traffic management, and traffic control.
- Strong situational awareness and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional with the public.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to stand on feet for entire shift and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Steel toe boots required; must be above the ankle.
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
- Prior flagging or construction experience is a plus but not required.
- Traffic Control certification (or willingness to obtain one).

Work EnvironmentThis position involves working 100% outdoors on active construction sites, Monday through Friday, with potential Saturday work. Shifts typically start at 7 am, with average work hours ranging from 8 to 10 hours per day. Orientation takes place in Bedford, followed by daily dispatches from home via an app. Most work is located within a one-hour radius of Cleveland, with no work typically west of Rocky River, east of Mentor, or south of Richfield.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
