Job Title: Machine Operator (2nd Shift) ($20.00-22.00/hr.)
Job Description
The Machine Operator plays a key role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment by setting up and operating tape slitter and rewinder machines to produce adhesive products according to detailed production specifications. This hands-on role involves working with raw materials, monitoring equipment performance, performing quality checks, and preparing finished products for shipment, while consistently following work instructions and safety procedures. We are looking for individuals to start as soon as possible. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. Apply Today!
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate tape slitter and rewinder machines in accordance with production specifications and work instructions.
- Load raw materials and prepare equipment for production runs to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
- Monitor machine performance, adjust settings as needed, and maintain required production rates.
- Inspect products throughout the production process to ensure they meet established quality standards.
- Measure and verify product specifications using work instructions and quality procedures.
- Shrink wrap, label, and palletize finished rolls to prepare them for shipping.
- Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment in an organized and accurate manner.
- Build cardboard boxes and other packaging materials needed for outgoing products.
- Perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety.
- Complete production documentation and accurately record process information and production data.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals, powders, and raw materials.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support smooth production flow and meet daily output goals.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in a production or machine operation environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis as part of daily tasks.
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and production procedures.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and safety.
- Basic machine operation skills, including starting, stopping, and adjusting equipment.
- Attention to detail when inspecting products and verifying measurements against specifications.
- Reliability and consistency in completing production documentation accurately.
- Willingness to work on 2nd shift (2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a machine operator or in general production environments.
- Interest in developing chemical manufacturing and production skills.
- Willingness to learn SAP and internal systems through provided training.
- Comfort working with adhesives, sealants, and specialty chemical products.

Work Environment
This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on producing adhesive batches by following detailed recipes and work instructions. You will work with chemicals, powders, and various raw materials in a physically demanding production environment that requires regular lifting, moving materials, and wearing appropriate PPE. The facility is not a clean-room environment; work areas can be messy, dusty at times, and warm depending on the specific production processes and products being manufactured. Candidates familiar with paint manufacturing often find this environment cleaner and less odorous than typical paint mixing operations. The position is on 2nd shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and you should expect a fast-paced setting where safety procedures and proper protective attire are consistently followed.
