Job Description
The Assembler plays a key role in building high-quality aerospace components by following detailed print specifications and work instructions. This position works on a production line using hand and power tools to assemble parts, inspect components, and troubleshoot defects while maintaining a clean, safe, and ISO 9001-compliant work environment across either first or second shift.
Responsibilities
- Build assemblies according to print specifications and work instructions to meet required due dates while adhering to all ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines.
- Receive component parts such as screws, stem covers, housing tubes, actuator tubes, and boots into the work cell and accurately document their receipt.
- Perform assembly operations on a production line using various hand and power tools.
- Inspect parts and assemblies to identify defects or nonconformities and take corrective actions as needed.
- Troubleshoot and fix defects in the assembly process to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with aerospace and facility standards.
- Follow all facility access and security procedures, including presenting valid identification as required.
- Collaborate with team members and follow direction from supervisors to meet production goals and quality standards.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a production or assembly environment.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions and print specifications.
- Experience working on an assembly or production line.
- Ability to perform basic parts inspection and assembly inspection tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and quality in all assembly and inspection activities.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with ISO 9001 guidelines.
- Familiarity with aerospace or similarly regulated clean production environments.
- Comfort working with various small component parts such as screws and mechanical hardware.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic assembly issues and identify root causes of defects.
- Willingness to follow strict security and facility access protocols, including presenting valid identification.
- Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules across assigned shift.

Work Environment
This role is based in a clean aerospace production environment that follows strict ISO 9001 and facility safety standards. Work is performed on a production line using various hand and power tools and handling small mechanical components. The facility operates multiple shifts, with a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a shift differential available for second shift. The site is a secured facility, and all individuals must present and scan a valid government-issued ID to enter. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to security and quality protocols.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
