Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting new product development, creating manufacturing processes, and collaborating with various teams to bring products into production. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering within a manufacturing setting and possess strong hands-on skills.
Responsibilities
- Support new product development in early-stage concept work, including 3D modeling of parts and manufacturing cells.
- Develop manufacturing processes for sheet metal fabrication, welding, stamping, and assembly.
- Create work instructions, tooling requirements, and process steps (SOPs) for production teams.
- Collaborate with plant engineers to align development work with real-world fabrication capabilities.
- Work with suppliers and vendors on tooling, stamping, and component manufacturability.
- Support production ramp-up by bringing products into manufacturing.
- Ensure design matches fabrication constraints; troubleshoot when development and fabrication do not match.
- Participate in lab and testing activities: validation, prototyping, and process trials.

- 5+ years direct experience performing engineering work in a manufacturing or design environment
- Experience with designing new equipment, gage design, production line design, process design, and/or automation design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Lab experience: familiarity with testing, prototyping, or validation environments
- Strong communication skills with external suppliers and vendors
- Associate’s degree in an Engineering discipline
- Fabrication or machine shop experience
- Experience in project management
- Metal stamping experience
- Automation experience: exposure to automated cells, robotics, or automated manufacturing systems
The work environment is very hands-on, with a significant amount of time spent on the production floor in assembly. Employees engage directly in testing and prototyping activities, contributing to the development and implementation of innovative manufacturing solutions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $55.00/hr.
