Job Description
This role focuses on installing ductwork and sheet metal on an industrial project, including rooftop units, curb units, and various sizes of duct systems. You will read blueprints, lay out and install sheet metal and duct systems, and assist with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment. This is a field-based position that requires travel as needed, use of personal hand tools and PPE, and adherence to strict safety standards on site.
Responsibilities
- Lay out and install sheet metal and duct systems for industrial projects.
- Install ductwork and sheet metal, including various sizes of duct and fittings.
- Install and set rooftop units (RTUs), curb units, louvers, hangers, and related HVAC components.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine locations for curbs, duct, sheet metal, and rooftop units.
- Assist with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment, including ductwork, rooftop units, curbs, louvers, and hangers.
- Ensure all installed systems meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Keep tools and equipment in good working order and perform or coordinate timely maintenance.
- Follow all OSHA and TPMC safety standards and site-specific safety procedures at all times.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a clean and safe work area.
- Offload deliveries and load trucks at job sites in an organized and safe manner.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
- Work scheduled shifts and overtime as needed to support project deadlines.
- Travel to job sites as required and represent the company professionally.
- 5+ years of experience installing louvers, setting rooftop equipment, rigging, and performing ductwork and sheet metal installation.
- Proven experience setting curbs, hanging duct, installing sheet metal, and setting rooftop units.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine placement of curbs, duct, sheet metal, and rooftop units.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC installation, including ductwork and sheet metal systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and commitment to working safely on active job sites.
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10 or higher certification (OSHA 10 required before starting).
- Proficiency in using common sheet metal and HVAC installation tools, including wrenches, pliers, channel locks, vice grips, impact drills, 9/16" sockets with impact adapter, and screwdrivers.
- Ability to lift, carry, and position materials and equipment associated with sheet metal and ductwork installation.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to job sites.
- Journeyman card is preferred.
- Experience working on industrial construction or tower projects.
- Rigging experience for setting rooftop equipment and large HVAC components.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical drawings and specifications.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the full scheduled workweek, including overtime.
- Ability to pass required screenings in accordance with company and project standards.

Work Environment
This position is based on an industrial project at a tower facility with a structured weekly schedule. Typical hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with overtime available as project needs require. Work takes place on active construction sites, often outdoors or in partially enclosed structures, and involves working at heights, around heavy equipment, and in varying weather conditions. You will regularly handle sheet metal, ductwork, and HVAC components, using hand tools and power tools such as impact drills and sockets. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times, and strict adherence to OSHA and TPMC safety standards is expected. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and meeting project schedules.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
