Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a busy apparel printing production facility on 1st and 2nd shift. In this role, you perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on screen printing machines, laser equipment, and other high-speed automation systems. You apply your industrial maintenance experience, along with combined electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities, to keep production running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on screen printing machines, laser machines, and other high-speed automation equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on production equipment, including components related to hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical problems, including work with 480 volt, 3-phase power systems and other machine and equipment electrical components.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and facility systems to identify potential issues and implement proactive maintenance solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications, codes, and handbooks to plan and execute maintenance and repair tasks accurately.
- Use various testing devices related to mechanical and electrical trades to identify faults and verify proper operation of equipment.
- Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including basic construction, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work as needed.
- Work safely with hand and power tools to complete repair and maintenance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with production staff and other team members to schedule maintenance work, support equipment setup, and minimize disruption to operations.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to support continuous improvement and compliance with facility standards.
Essential Skills
- At least one year of relevant industrial maintenance experience or training.
- Industrial maintenance experience with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including work with 480 volt, 3-phase power systems.
- Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience on production machinery and equipment.
- Knowledge of general mechanical and electrical principles applied in an industrial setting.
- Ability to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated production equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications, codes, and handbooks.
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics in machinery and equipment.
- Competence in using various testing devices related to mechanical and electrical trades.
- Experience with hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Basic computer skills to support documentation and maintenance-related activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in screen printing or apparel production environments is highly beneficial and can reduce the learning curve.
- Knowledge of basic construction, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work for facility maintenance.
- Licensed forklift operator certification preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-speed, automated manufacturing environment.
- Comfort working on both mechanical and electrical aspects of production machinery.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and practices in manufacturing.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly about equipment status and repair needs.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Lewis Center, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $68640.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
