Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works as part of the production crew with a main focus on preparing the machine for the production run, according to the customer order.
Cleans the machine daily.
Orders pads from the Forklift Driver, according to the need expressed on the schedule.
Responsible for having pads at the machine for the finished products.
Assists with running orders when the machine is ready by watching the run continue smoothly and without problem. If a problem arises, such as machine failure, product quality is not to standard, or a shortage of paper, this individual notifies the operator of the problem. May need to work with management, maintenance, and other company employees to fix the problem.
Prepares the product according to the shop card and/or in a manner suitable for shipping.
May be required to feed the machine on occasion.
Works with various production machines and basic tools.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED.
Verifiable work history for past 12 months.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
Must be willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends
Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy Forklift traffic.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1 + year of experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
