Job Title: General Laborer (2nd shift) ($17.00/hr.)
Job Description
This role involves working in a manufacturing environment to fold and assemble vegetable boxes, support production operations, and maintain a clean and safe plant. You will perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, twisting, and standing for long periods while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities
- Fold and assemble vegetable boxes with a partner, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Stack completed boxes safely and efficiently, repeating this process throughout the shift.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, twisting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for the duration of the shift.
- Support production activities by assisting with general labor tasks as needed.
- Perform housekeeping functions to keep machinery and work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Help maintain proper functioning of machinery by promptly cleaning around equipment and addressing potential hazards.
- Contribute to a team environment by cross-training in different tasks and filling in for other operators during absences and breaks.
- Follow all safety procedures when working around large machinery and in a high-volume production setting.
- Adhere to facility rules and guidelines throughout the shift.
Essential Skills
- Experience in manufacturing, production, general labor, or similar industrial environments.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, twisting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for an entire shift.
- Comfort working around large machinery in a high-volume production environment.
- Willingness and ability to work in a loud, noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy, and non-climate-controlled environment.
- Demonstrated safety awareness and the ability to follow safety procedures consistently.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support coworkers by cross-training and filling in as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a machine operator.
- Prior manufacturing experience in a plant or industrial setting.
- Previous forklift certification or experience operating a forklift.
- Experience in construction or other physically demanding work environments.
- Willingness to participate in training programs to develop new skills and expand responsibilities.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing plant that is not climate controlled, so temperatures can become very hot during the summer and conditions may be humid, dusty, greasy, and loud. You will work around large industrial machinery in a high-volume production environment, where safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols are essential. The facility is entirely smoke-free, and leaving the property during the shift is not permitted. You should be prepared for a physically demanding workday that involves continuous movement, standing, and handling materials while wearing appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial setting.
