Join Our Team as a Data Center Technician


As a Data Center Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers data centers. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Installing cabinets, cable trays, ladder racks, fiber runners, containment, and trunks.
  • Handling the installation and decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure.
  • Delivering sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Providing structured feedback on project progress to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring quality workmanship and maintaining data center cleanliness.
  • Adhering to all production, safety, and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
  • Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work.
  • Having a broad understanding of data center infrastructure technologies.

Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proficiency with basic telecom hand tools.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Clear understanding of job safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans.
  • Familiarity with wiring schemes and testing.
  • Capability to pull all types of low voltage cable.
  • Experience in performing field terminations and labeling.
  • Ability to maintain orderly paperwork and run service jobs.
  • Skills to layout MDF and IDF closets, dress all types of cable, and perform terminations.
  • Experience working in data centers.
  • Ability to install ladder racking and seismic bracing both above and under raised floors.
  • Basic understanding of copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to dress and furcate fiber trunks for splicing.
  • Experience with fusion splicing, including Ribbon/Single OSP/ISP.
  • Ability to install, connect, and decommission network equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Open to candidates with no cabling experience who are eager to enter the trade, as training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with data center procedures (e.g., physical security, decommissioning, logistics) is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with verbal, written, visual, and listening skills.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate required equipment and technical instruments.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to pull cables and climb ladders to work on raised platforms.
