Job Title: Carpenter
Job Description
This direct hire position offers a hands-on opportunity for an experienced carpenter to work on residential remodeling projects, with a focus on both finish carpentry and rough framing. The role involves delivering high-quality craftsmanship on home additions and remodels, taking ownership of assigned tasks, and contributing as a key member of a small, professional construction team.
Responsibilities
- Perform all types of finish trim work, including cabinet installation and detailed finish carpentry.
- Install crown molding and other decorative trim with precision and a high level of craftsmanship.
- Complete rough framing tasks for residential projects, including all phases of home additions.
- Frame and prepare structures for drywall installation, including framing windows and doors.
- Put up drywall as part of home addition and remodeling projects when required.
- Maintain consistently high workmanship standards on all residential remodeling projects.
- Work effectively as part of a construction team while taking full ownership of assigned tasks.
- Follow project plans, timelines, and instructions to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Use basic hand tools and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate work and resolve issues on site.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in finish carpentry or rough framing on residential projects.
- Ability to frame and complete all phases of a home addition, from rough framing through finish work.
- Strong hands-on skills in finish trim work, including cabinet installation and crown molding.
- Experience in framing a house, including framing windows and doors.
- Capability to put up drywall as part of home addition and remodeling projects.
- Strong attention to detail and a clear commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while independently managing assigned tasks.
- Must have own basic hand tools suitable for carpentry and finish work.
- Successful completion of a drug test and BG check.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in residential remodeling and home additions on the west side of Cleveland or similar markets.
- Comfort working on both finish carpentry and framing tasks as project needs require.
- Ability to read and follow construction plans and measurements accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to project changes on site.
- Reliable transportation to travel to job sites within the defined service area.

Work Environment
The role is based in a field construction environment focused on residential remodeling and home additions on the west side of Cleveland, typically within approximately a 40-mile radius and not extending east of downtown. Work is performed on active job sites, involving both interior and exterior tasks, including framing, drywall, finish carpentry, cabinet installation, and trim work. You will regularly use basic hand tools and standard carpentry equipment that you bring to the job, while the company supports you with additional resources as needed. The position operates in a practical, hands-on setting where safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork are priorities. Standard construction attire is expected, and company-provided shirts and hoodies are supplied to support a professional and consistent appearance on job sites.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
