Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, following a preventive maintenance schedule, and completing work orders. You will collaborate with another technician on your shift to troubleshoot and repair systems up to 480v and 3 phase, including electrical components such as fuses, motors, and controllers. Mechanical tasks will involve maintaining hydraulics, pneumatics, belts, boilers, pumps, and air compressors. Additionally, you will perform minor fabrication work, general building maintenance, and preventive maintenance on equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with a focus on either 80/20 or 50/50 mechanical vs electrical.
- Follow a preventive maintenance schedule and complete work orders.
- Collaborate with another technician on the shift.
- Troubleshoot systems up to 480v and 3 phase.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting involving fuses, motors, and controller changes.
- Address mechanical issues related to hydraulics, pneumatics, belts, boilers, pumps, and air compressors.
- Perform minor fabrication work.
- Conduct general building maintenance, including changing light ballasts, basic plumbing, painting, and snow shoveling.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Read and interpret prints and schematics.
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to troubleshoot systems up to 480v and 3 phase
- Experience with mechanical troubleshooting of hydraulics, pneumatics, belts, boilers, pumps, and air compressors
- Fabrication or welding experience
- Own basic hand tools
- PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley)
- Robotics experience
- Certifications or classes taken to advance knowledge in maintenance

Work Environment
The work environment involves manufacturing conveyor belts for the mining industry in a non-climate controlled, unionized setting. Opportunities are available on the second shift from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. You must be open to working two Saturdays a month, with current working hours ranging from 40 to 50 hours a week. Voluntary overtime is initially offered and mandated if not enough participants sign up.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.85 - $32.85/hr.
