Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Infotainment
Job Description
This role is dedicated to leading the development of hardware and software technologies to enhance comfort, safety, and user experience, ultimately creating a top-class infotainment platform for our vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Direct selected suppliers to design and manage components according to maturation schedule requirements.
- Confirm hands-on performance by developing unique requirements on system components and conducting vehicle testing to ensure product acceptance.
- Write clear and concise reports, presentations, and technical documents to record development activities and communicate with technical experts.
- Support maturation testing to cover various configurations of components, ensuring all variations work correctly.
- Develop, write, and issue specification requirements for system components.
- Analyze and interpret test results, predict performance or failure, and provide necessary product or design data.
- Recognize and specify critical functional requirements for infotainment system components to match customer demands.
- Communicate development schedule and report status of component functions to different company areas and departments.
- Research and influence future trends in infotainment system architecture, features, and efficient development methods.
- Propose, develop, and justify new functions (hardware, software, HMI, etc.) to meet market requirements.
Essential Skills
- Experience in infotainment, radio frequency, audio, hardware testing, and product engineering.
- Hands-on experience with electrical product testing; a software background is acceptable.
- Knowledge in hardware, antenna, and RF.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related experience.
- Co-op experience within the product testing space.
Work Environment
The work environment is an R&D setting within the infotainment team, involving collaboration with several groups and departments. The role offers long-term opportunities and is part of the fastest growing and highly invested department. Benefits include paid shutdown, 10 days PTO, and 8 days of holiday pay.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raymond, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
