Description
- Candidate will purchase at the most favorable price consistent with quality quantity delivery and other factors raw materials equipment machinery components and supplies for development and business operations.
- Work independently and with other purchasing and technical teams in performing a full range of Power Sports procurement functions, including tool/part cost negotiation/evaluation, cost reduction research, assigned parts/parts procurement, supplier cost/quality/delivery management and parts procurement delivery/administration
- Acts as liaison to suppliers and project design teams
- A liaison to suppliers and internal design teams with minimal supervision, cost assessments, monitors supplier quality/delivery and relays changes in quantity, quality standards and/or deadlines, addresses quality issues and recommends countermeasures, negotiates with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and coordinates shipment/delivery with limited supervision
- Supports planning and issuing Purchase Orders (POs) for all projects
- Confirm appropriate supplier selection for existing & new parts, required parts/lead times per drawing issue schedule/delivery dates, and specifications/procurement needs are met
- Interfaces with suppliers to obtain Request for Quotes (RFQs) to establish target costs prior to project builds, analyzing supplier quotes and negotiating costs for all projects
- Coordinates parts procurement administration, including tracking open parts requests/orders/changes, generating Open Order Report
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient PC Skills Excel Word PowerPoint and other technical software and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
- SAP Experience preferred or other large ERP experience
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a Purchasing/Procurement role

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.57 - $38.47/hr.
