Job Description
This role focuses on setting up and operating a custom Haas CNC plastic injection mold machine to cut long plastic tubes into precise small rings while consistently performing quality checks using digital gauges and other measuring tools in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a custom Haas CNC plastic injection mold machine to cut long plastic tubes into small, accurately sized rings.
- Perform routine CNC machine operations, including loading materials, monitoring runs, and adjusting parameters as needed.
- Conduct quality checks on finished parts using digital gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Visually inspect parts for defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications and take corrective action when required.
- Change out fixtures and tooling on the CNC machine as needed to support different jobs and production requirements.
- Follow established quality control procedures to ensure all parts meet dimensional and visual standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Document inspection results and communicate any quality concerns or machine issues promptly.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience working with CNC machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on CNC operation skills, including basic setup and operation of Haas or comparable CNC equipment.
- Ability to perform quality checks using digital gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
- Comfort with quality inspection, quality checks, quality control, and visual inspection of manufactured parts.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and work with machinery and production equipment.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise measurements and specifications.
- Basic understanding of injection mold processes and CNC setup in a production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with inspection responsibilities.
- Experience working with Haas CNC machines or plastic injection molding equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic machine or quality issues.
- Ability to work overtime on weekdays and occasional Saturdays as production requires.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, well-organized, and climate-controlled manufacturing facility with newer, well-maintained machines. The work area is well lit and designed to support safe and efficient CNC operations and quality inspections. This is a first-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available on many days and occasional Saturday work depending on production needs. The environment is focused on precision manufacturing, consistent quality standards, and collaborative teamwork.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Troy, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.16 - $17.16/hr.
