Job Title: Multi-Skilled Assembly Technician
Job Description
This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys hands-on work, variety in daily tasks, and contributing to high-quality product assembly in a modern manufacturing environment. You will work across multiple departments based on production demand, performing a wide range of activities related to product assembly, sub-assembly, finishing, and testing. You will follow detailed assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, standard operating procedures, and parts lists to ensure accurate and efficient production.
Responsibilities
- Work in multiple departments according to production demand, supporting sub-assembly, final assembly, and testing processes.
- Perform mechanical assembly and finishing tasks using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, standard operating procedures, and parts lists to build products accurately.
- Read and interpret blueprints and other technical documentation to complete assembly work correctly.
- Use basic math skills to measure, verify dimensions, and ensure components meet required specifications.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, and assembling components.
- Inspect assembled parts and products for quality, identifying and addressing any issues or defects.
- Support testing processes by preparing assemblies, following test procedures, and assisting with adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the manufacturing facility.
- Collaborate with team members and adapt to different tasks and departments as production priorities change.
Essential Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to be mechanically inclined in a production environment.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for assembly work.
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, standard operating procedures, and parts lists.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to perform measurements and calculations.
- Capability to interpret blueprints or willingness to learn blueprint reading.
- Comfort working in a production or manufacturing setting with changing priorities.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Oil field assembly experience is a plus.
- Automotive mechanical knowledge or background is highly desirable.
- Previous experience reading and working from blueprints is beneficial.
- Prior experience in mechanical assembly or production environments is advantageous.

Work Environment
You will work in a climate-controlled warehouse within a brand-new, modern manufacturing facility. The environment on the manufacturing floor strongly emphasizes culture, teamwork, and a respectful, collaborative atmosphere. The standard schedule runs from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with additional hours on Friday as needed based on production demand. The facility is equipped for mechanical assembly work using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices, providing a comfortable and well-organized setting for hands-on production tasks.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
