Machine Operator
$20.00-$23.00 per hour
Night Shift, 4:30pm-5:00am Monday-Friday
Portland, OR
Responsibilities:
- Setup, operate and monitor plastic extrusion machines to produce industrial hoses.
- Use of computers and shop math to determine machine specifications for different production jobs. Use of hand tools and power tools to adjust machine.
- Use of tape measure to measure product for cutting.
- Inspect finished product for quality.
- Adjust machine settings to obtain proper quality.
- Monitor gauges and machine operation to ensure production flows smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Must have prior experience in machine operation.
- Must have previous manufacturing experience.
- Extrusion or injection molding experience is preferred (but not required
- Must have ability to perform simple math calculations.
- Must be proficient in the use of basic hand tools and power tools.
Environment / Shift:
- Night Shift: 4:30pm-5:00am Monday-Friday
- Smaller shop, clean, can be noisy in some areas
- Pretty clean but still an industrial environment.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
