Foundry Worker
Location: NW Portland, OR
Pay: $26/hour
Position Overview:
We are hiring Foundry Workers to support production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves working directly with molten metal and assisting in the casting of parts used in the mining industry. Ideal candidates are comfortable working in high-heat conditions and have prior manufacturing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with foundry pouring operations and production processes
- Stage and prepare molds for casting, including frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Operate foundry equipment to melt metal, pour molten metal into ladles, and transfer into molds
- Follow all safety procedures while working around molten metal (~3000°F)
- Maintain production flow and support overall team operations
Work Environment:
- Covered, open-air facility exposed to outdoor elements
- High-heat environment due to molten metal, PPE, and seasonal temperatures
- Required use of full PPE, including fire-retardant gear
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Foundry experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work safely in high-temperature environments
- Comfortable with physically demanding work and lifting requirements
Schedule:
- Day Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM
