Job Description
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for verifying and maintaining records of outgoing shipments. You will prepare items for shipment, ensuring accuracy by comparing identifying information and verifying details against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Your role will include labeling packed cartons with shipping information and assembling containers. You will ensure that all outgoing shipments meet specifications.
Responsibilities
- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers.
- Insert items into containers.
- Nail covers on wooden crates and bind containers with metal tape.
- Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience.
- Experience with inventory tracking and/or stocking.
- Proficiency in material handling.
- Experience with WMS, SAP, and pallet jack operation.
- Ability to operate a forklift and handle logistics tasks.
- Skills in customer service and warehouse shipping.

Work Environment
The role is based in a production environment with various workstations, characterized by a very loud noise level. Personal protective equipment is provided, and steel-toed footwear is required for safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50/hr.
