Job Title: Production Worker
Job Description
This role involves working as a versatile production worker who supports multiple departments within an industrial steel production environment. You will load and unload rail, feed machines with raw materials, and stage finished and in-process products while consistently prioritizing safety and teamwork. The position requires flexibility to work independently or as part of a group and to support operations across different shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Work as a cross-trained team member across multiple production departments to support overall plant operations.
- Load and unload rail cars safely and efficiently, following all safety policies and procedures.
- Feed machines with raw materials, ensuring consistent material flow to support continuous production.
- Stage finished and in-process products in designated areas to maintain organized workflow and inventory control.
- Operate production and material-handling equipment as needed, using proper techniques and safety practices.
- Use basic hand tools to complete production, maintenance, and support tasks as required.
- Follow all established safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Actively contribute to a safe work environment by initiating and upholding safety standards, reporting hazards, and participating in safety initiatives.
- Work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Support off-shift operations by working 2nd or 3rd shifts, including weekends and holidays, as operating conditions require.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in accordance with housekeeping expectations.
- Follow production instructions, quality guidelines, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent output and product integrity.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Willingness and ability to work off shifts, including 2nd and 3rd shifts, as well as weekends and holidays when required.
- Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Basic knowledge and safe use of hand tools.
- Capability to perform general labor tasks in an industrial setting, including loading, unloading, and staging materials.
- Reliability and punctuality to support continuous production operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in production or manufacturing environments.
- Experience in general labor within industrial or warehouse settings.
- Familiarity with machine operation in a production environment.
- Comfort working with and around industrial equipment and heavy materials.
- Ability to adapt to cross-training and perform a variety of tasks across different departments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Work Environment
The work environment is highly industrial, loud, and physically demanding, with exposure to dust, dirt, and outdoor conditions. The role involves working around heavy machinery, rail operations, and production equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and housekeeping standards. Shifts may include 2nd or 3rd shift schedules, as well as weekends and holidays, depending on operating requirements.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camp Hill, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
