Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description
This role focuses on custom welding and fabrication work in a shop environment with welding structural components directly from blueprints. You will primarily perform MIG and flux core welding on high-strength steel, with occasional work on stainless steel and aluminum. The position requires strong fabrication skills, the ability to work from prints with minimal supervision, and confidence welding in out-of-position and tight spaces.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble flatbed trailers and related components from blueprints and drawings.
- Perform MIG and flux core welding on high-strength structural steel, including out-of-position and vertical welding in tight or confined spaces.
- Interpret and work directly from blueprints, ensuring accurate dimensions, fit, and alignment of all parts.
- Use fabrication tools and equipment, including plasma cutters, laser cutters, and material handling equipment, to cut, shape, and prepare components.
- Operate overhead cranes and other material handling devices to move and position steel and assemblies safely.
- Apply proper pre-heating procedures and processes when required, following established welding and fabrication best practices.
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic metallurgy as it relates to welding and fabrication of high-strength steels and structural components.
- Perform limited TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel as needed, depending on project requirements.
- Work independently in a custom fabrication environment, taking a project from raw material to finished assembly with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a high level of welding quality with extremely limited errors while meeting productivity expectations.
- Perform other business-related duties and tasks as required and assigned to support production and shop operations.

Hiring for Multiple Positions
2nd Shift- 2:00pm-10:00pm (4 Day Work Week)
Pay- BOE- $20-$28 p/h (Shift difference added)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlisle, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $28.50/hr.
