Join a busy plumbing service department as a Plumbing Service Technician / Drain Specialist, where you diagnose and resolve residential plumbing issues, perform repairs and installations, and deliver clear, professional service to customers in the field.
Responsibilities- Diagnose residential plumbing issues and provide clear, accurate repair recommendations to customers.
- Perform service repairs including leaks, clogs, fixture replacements, water heaters, and piping in residential settings.
- Install plumbing fixtures such as faucets, toilets, valves, and water heaters according to industry standards and local codes.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to improve performance and reduce future service issues.
- Communicate findings, repair options, and pricing to customers in a professional and easy-to-understand manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, including parts used, labor time, and service notes.
- Collaborate with dispatch to ensure timely response to service calls and efficient routing throughout the day.
- Use appropriate hand tools and equipment safely for troubleshooting, repair, and installation tasks.
- Perform field service work in a variety of residential environments, including basements, crawlspaces, and outdoor areas.
- Apply mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair plumbing, drainage, and related systems.
- Follow safety procedures and best practices while handling tools, equipment, and materials.
- Provide professional customer service on-site, representing the company with a courteous and solution-focused approach.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a service plumber or plumbing technician.
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, including fixtures, piping, drainage, and water heaters.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues independently and provide effective on-site solutions.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using common plumbing hand tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform service, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance on plumbing and drainage systems.
- Basic electrical understanding as it relates to water heaters, pumps, and related plumbing equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record suitable for operating company vehicles.
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varied physical conditions, including bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
- Strong field service mindset with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with HVAC-related plumbing or systems is a plus.
- Comfort working with drainage systems, including clogs, sewer lines, and related equipment.
- Experience documenting work orders, service reports, and parts usage in a structured format.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with dispatch and other departments to generate leads and upsell services.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
- Service-oriented attitude with a focus on efficiency and quality workmanship.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
