Job Description
We are seeking a skilled forklift operator to join our team at the Market Street location. This role involves operating an overhead crane and forklift to maneuver materials and load/unload trucks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials safely within the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring the accurate placement and transportation of materials.
- Collaborate with layout/fitters and weld inspectors to meet construction job deadlines.
- Maintain safety standards and adhere to facility protocols.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32".
- Mechanically inclined with strong material handling skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a Yard Jockey, Pettibone operator, or machine operator.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Shift:
Monday - Friday (2:30pm - 11pm) or until finish. - $20 to $22 an hour
Work Environment
Located at the Market Street Shop, the facility is equipped with overhead cranes for safe material movement. Candidates should have their own welding gear and steel-toed boots. You will have an individual workstation and must work independently with safety as a priority. Welders collaborate with layout/fitters and weld inspectors under the guidance of the Shop Foreman.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of East York, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
