Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Job Description
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing and reconciling weekly and bi-weekly payroll, performing audits, and ensuring the accuracy of employee deductions. This role requires proficiency in payroll procedures, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving payroll landscape and deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Process union weekly and office bi-weekly payrolls.
- Manage reconciliations to ensure all data is accurate before final submission for approximately 400 employees across multiple states.
- Manage the entries of financial data into our ERP system after the transmission of payroll.
- Audit, analyze, and reconcile multiple payroll reports to ensure the accuracy of payroll changes and adjustments.
- Assist the general accounts receivable team by resolving customer questions, collecting delinquent accounts, and processing credit card payments.
- Maintain department flow by providing appropriate backup as needed, particularly on customer invoicing, cash application, and the accounts payable invoicing process.
- Assist the finance department in accomplishing corporate and departmental goals by performing special assignments as necessary.
- Protect the integrity of company information by keeping financial data confidential.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience processing payroll.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Competent math and computational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
Work Environment
Office environment. The hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The dress code is business casual.
Compensation:$60000
