A Cook II is responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene. They work directly under the Manager of HCW Production, Events, and Innovation and play a crucial role in the kitchen's daily operations as well as supporting after hours catering and events. This role is expected to operate both as a team and independently in a time efficient manner.

A Cook II is responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene. This role is expected to operate both as a team and independently in a time efficient manner.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supports and provides some direction to the Cook I and other kitchen staff. providing guidance and training as needed.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to ensure the kitchen is well-equipped.
- Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's standards for taste, preparation, and portion size.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Occasionally interact with customers to address special requests or feedback.
- Support leadership in training of new techniques and products.
- Support training and guidance for new employees and help support training for new products, recipes, and Food Service initiatives.
- Follow all company standards and expectations.
- Proven experience as a Line Cook, strong background is culinary arts, or in a relevant role.
- Strong background in culinary arts and various cooking techniques.
- Precision in preparing and presenting dishes.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and food industry regulations.
- Ability to work and motivate in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to quickly address and resolve issues that arise in the kitchen.
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff and customers.
- In-depth knowledge of food industry regulations.
- *Must be food safe handler certified, or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
- Education:A degree or certification in culinary arts or a related field is preferred
- Experience:Previous experience as a Lead Cook or Line Cook preferred
