Mechanical Designer
Position Summary
The Mechanical
Designer supports engineering and production by developing detailed CAD models
and drawings for walk‑in coolers, freezers, and refrigeration components. This
role focuses on turning engineered concepts into accurate, manufacturable
documentation used on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 2D and 3D CAD drawings for walk‑in refrigeration products and components
- Produce shop drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of material
- Modify existing designs to accommodate custom customer requirements
- Coordinate with engineers to implement design intent accurately
- Ensure drawings reflect manufacturing processes and tolerances
- Maintain drawing revisions and documentation standards
- Assist with layout drawings for customer approval and production
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical training in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or Engineering Technology
- Strong CAD experience (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Familiarity with manufacturing drawings and BOMs
- Experience in sheet metal, refrigeration, or industrial equipment design preferred
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hyde, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.04 - $43.27/hr.
