Asphalt Paving Machine Operator
Full-Time | Construction | Local Projects
We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Machine Operator to join our growing construction team. This hands-on role is critical to delivering high-quality paving projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and teamwork. What You’ll Do
- Operate asphalt paving machines to apply asphalt on roadways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces
- Operate milling machines as required by the project
- Work closely with foremen and crew members to ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient paving operations
- Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs
- Read and interpret construction plans, grades, and elevations
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times
- Assist with general labor duties as needed to support the crew
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating asphalt paving equipment
- Solid understanding of asphalt paving methods and equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints, check elevations, and follow job specifications
- Basic math skills for measurements and layout
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in asphalt paving or a related field
- Experience operating multiple types of paving and milling equipment
- Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Previous experience working on municipal, commercial, or roadway projects
Work Environment & Schedule
- Typical hours: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak paving season
- Job sites are located within a one-hour radius of the shop
- Employees report directly to the assigned job site
- Must be comfortable performing both equipment operation and general labor tasks

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irwin, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
