The Fulfilment Pharmacy Technician works closely with the pharmacist to ensure the health and safety of patients by accurately locating, dispensing, packing, labeling, and shipping prescription orders in a timely manner. This role supports the pharmacist in all aspects of prescription fulfillment while adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures. The technician provides friendly, professional customer service to patients and health care professionals and helps maintain a safe, clean, and compliant pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the pharmacist to support safe, accurate, and timely prescription fulfillment for patients.
- Function within the limits of applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and internal policies, including strict adherence to HIPAA requirements.
- Receive prescriptions, verify their accuracy and authenticity, and ensure all necessary information is complete.
- Correctly read prescriptions, interpret physician intent, and process orders in The Compounder system in a precise and efficient manner under pharmacist supervision.
- Assist the pharmacist in maintaining ingredient, equipment, and batched product inventories at appropriate levels.
- Stock the fulfillment area with finished products and necessary materials to support continuous workflow.
- Sort, stock, and label compounded medications accurately to ensure proper identification and traceability.
- Prepare orders for pharmacist review prior to shipment, ensuring all documentation and packaging are complete.
- Ensure medications are properly stored according to regulatory and internal standards to maintain product integrity and safety.
- Clean and maintain equipment according to daily, monthly, and annual procedures to support quality and compliance.
- Work to maintain a safe, clean workplace and demonstrate an understanding of emergency and disaster plans.
- Provide prompt, friendly, and professional service to clients, responding to patient inquiries and handling complaints in a caring and efficient manner.
- Conduct oneself in a manner that upholds the moral and ethical practice of pharmacy at all times.
- Support the pharmacist in the daily operations of the fulfillment area to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned, including operating office equipment and completing documentation accurately.
- Carry out other tasks and duties assigned to assist in the efficient operation of the fulfillment division.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, peers, and supervisors in a cordial and professional manner.
- Complete assigned tasks with close follow-up, ensuring thoroughness and timely completion.

- Capability to follow standard operating procedures for equipment cleaning, medication storage, and workplace safety.
- Ability to uphold HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Experience in pharmacy or retail pharmacy settings, particularly with stocking, labeling, and sorting compounded medications.
- Familiarity with inventory management for ingredients, equipment, and batched products.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple tasks in the fulfillment area.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to the moral and professional practice of pharmacy.
- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and solutions-focused when handling patient complaints or concerns.
This position is based in a pharmacy fulfillment environment operating Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The role involves working in a clean, organized, and safety-focused setting with regular use of pharmacy and office equipment such as compounding systems, inventory tools, copier, fax, and telephone. Team members follow standard operating procedures for equipment cleaning and maintenance, medication storage, and workplace safety, including emergency and disaster plans. Clean scrubs are provided daily, and employees are expected to be properly attired in clean scrubs and wear appropriate safety equipment as required. The environment emphasizes collaboration, professional communication, attention to detail, and consistent adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
