Job Description
The Job Captain will manage small, fast-paced medical clinic projects through all phases of design and construction. This role oversees multiple concurrent projects nationwide, ensuring high-quality documentation, effective coordination, and adherence to building codes and technical requirements. The Job Captain will support specific goals related to work quality, level of service, and project profitability while maintaining strong, long-term client relationships in a high-volume, production-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage small, fast-paced medical clinic projects from initial design through construction completion.
- Coordinate all phases of the project, including design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Review and interpret building codes, constructability considerations, and technical requirements to ensure compliant and buildable solutions.
- Perform detailed design review and quality control of drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings and submittals to ensure alignment with design intent and technical standards.
- Produce and oversee production of construction documents using AutoCAD with a strong focus on accuracy and clarity.
- Coordinate with internal team members, engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated and consistent project deliverables.
- Manage project schedules and support resource planning to meet aggressive timelines and multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Support construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and addressing field-related design issues.
- Maintain a high level of organization and professionalism while working closely within the client’s corporate office environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of quality control processes and standards across a large volume of repeat and prototype projects.
- Help uphold strong client relationships through responsive communication, reliable service, and consistent project delivery.
Essential Skills
- Professional degree in Architecture.
- 7+ years of relevant architectural experience.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, constructability, and technical requirements.
- Proven experience with design review and review of shop drawings.
- Hands-on AutoCAD experience for production of construction documents.
- Demonstrated quality control experience on architectural projects.
- Experience with project management and project coordination.
This is a Permanent position based out of King of Prussia, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
