Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Analyst
Job Description
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports the full deal life cycle for the IT category, with a strong focus on software and cloud services. This role oversees end-to-end procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, contract and price negotiation, and stakeholder management. The analyst manages a pipeline of medium-complexity sourcing engagements, supports category leads on higher-complexity deals, and helps drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and tools.
Responsibilities
- Manage a pipeline of medium‑complexity IT sourcing engagements over $250K, focused on software and cloud services.
- Support Category Leads on high‑complexity sourcing and negotiation activities.
- Develop negotiation plans and guide stakeholders through the contracting process.
- Execute sourcing strategies including competitive bids, supplier consolidation, co‑terming, and evaluation agreements.
- Assist with Oracle procurement tasks and system updates.
- Collaborate with Category Teams, Supplier Management, Vendor Management, Internal Clients, and Third‑Party Risk groups.
- Translate business requirements into clear RFx documentation.
- Own the end‑to‑end competitive bidding process and ensure timely execution.
- Ensure consistent, compliant procurement practices across all engagements.
- Recommend improvements to sourcing processes, tools, and standards.
- Support departmental process and technology initiatives.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate sourcing outcomes effectively.
- Use advanced Excel and MS Office skills to analyze spend, compare proposals, and prepare summaries.
Essential Skills
- Minimum five years of procurement experience, including SaaS and cloud services negotiations.
- Proven background in IT strategic sourcing.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to guide clients through sourcing and contracting.
- Experience managing RFx development, competitive bidding, and contract negotiation.
- High proficiency in Excel and MS Office for analysis and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing engagements over $250K.
- Strong written and verbal communication for RFx creation and recommendation presentations.
- Commitment to fair, compliant procurement practices.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle procurement or similar ERP systems.
- Experience working with Supplier Management, Vendor Management, and Third‑Party Risk teams.
- Familiarity with software/cloud commercial models and licensing structures.
- Experience supporting process or technology improvement initiatives.
- Interest in AI‑related tools within procurement is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Strong analytical mindset for evaluating supplier proposals and identifying value opportunities.
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule with on‑site presence Tuesday–Thursday.
- Fast‑paced procurement environment within a large enterprise setting.
- Exposure to enterprise‑level sourcing operations and opportunities for internal career growth.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Malvern, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $58.00/hr.
