Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist (Warehouse Associate) First shift!
Job Description
The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting warehouse operations within a large distribution environment. You will manage inbound deliveries, research and reconcile purchase orders, and ensure shipments are properly closed out. This role relies heavily on SAP and a warehouse management system (WMS), along with Microsoft Office, to perform cycle counts, update records, and coordinate with operations and inventory control teams. You will use powered industrial equipment, including a high-reach order picker, to access materials stored at significant heights while performing precise data entry and inventory verification tasks.
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound deliveries and ensure all materials are accurately logged into the warehouse management system.
- Research and reconcile open purchase orders to confirm quantities, delivery status, and any discrepancies.
- Help close out shipments when production runs are completed, ensuring all related documentation and system records are accurate and complete.
- Update spreadsheets and inventory tracking documents as needed to maintain up-to-date and accurate information.
- Coordinate daily activities with operations support and inventory control teams to align inventory levels with production and order fulfillment needs.
- Create replenishments as needed to fulfill customer orders and maintain appropriate stock levels in designated bins and racks.
- Perform regular bin checks to verify inventory accuracy and resolve any discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Use warehouse equipment, including powered industrial trucks and high-reach order pickers, to perform cycle counts and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and document results in SAP and related systems to support accurate inventory control.
- Enter and maintain data in SAP and the WMS with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support shipping and receiving functions by verifying counts, labeling, and documentation as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and, when required, provide courteous customer service related to inventory or order status.
- Follow established safety procedures when working at rack heights of up to approximately 40 feet using cherry pickers and other equipment.
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts by identifying process gaps or recurring inventory issues and suggesting practical solutions.
- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks, including high-reach or cherry picker equipment, or a strong willingness to learn and be trained.
- Comfort working at rack heights of up to approximately 40 feet while using order picker equipment with camera and laser level guidance.
- Advanced knowledge and practical application of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive or monotonous tasks accurately and consistently.
- Solid data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and completeness in SAP, WMS, and spreadsheet tools.
- Effective coordination and communication skills to work closely with operations support and inventory control teams.
- Customer service mindset when interacting with internal stakeholders or external partners related to inventory and order status.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manchester, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
