Industrial/Commercial Electrician
McKees Rock, PA | Contract-to-Hire | $25 - $35/hr
Schedule
- Monday through Friday (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
- Travel from our shop in McKees Rocks directly to local job sites
- No seasonal layoffs or unstable project schedules
What You'll Do
As an Industrial/Commercial Electrician, you'll play a key role in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading electrical systems in manufacturing and commercial environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Installing EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit systems
- Pulling wire and cable through conduit and cable tray systems
- Installing and wiring panels, disconnects, transformers, switchgear, and lighting systems
- Wiring receptacles, switches, occupancy sensors, and emergency lighting
- Reading blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics
- Performing startup, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Troubleshooting motors, motor controls, and production equipment
- Installing and replacing VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
- Building and modifying control panels
- Installing power distribution systems
- Performing preventative maintenance and diagnosing electrical failures
- Working on conveyors, pumps, compressors, and automated manufacturing equipment
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial and/or commercial electrical experience
- Strong conduit bending and installation skills (EMT, rigid, and flex conduit)
- Experience with control wiring and machinery installations
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
- Experience working with low and high voltage systems (120V, 240V, 480V)
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food processing, steel, bottling, canning, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
- Familiarity with PLC systems and automation controls
- Experience installing and commissioning AC drives
- Previous experience leading projects or running jobs from start to finish

This position involves hands-on electrical construction and service work in active industrial and commercial facilities. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
