Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Control Inspector carefully examines garments and related products to ensure they meet defined specifications for size, fit, and construction. This role involves precise measurement, visual inspection, and accurate data entry to support a high-volume inspection project across a variety of consumer products, including clothing, shoes, furniture, jewelry, and bags.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret garment specification sheets and measurement charts before beginning each inspection.
- Measure garments using appropriate tools and techniques, such as tape measures, to verify size and fit.
- Verify that products meet established size, fit, and construction requirements according to the provided specifications.
- Perform detailed visual inspections of garments and related products to identify defects, inconsistencies, or non-conforming items.
- Accurately record all measurement data and inspection findings in the computer system.
- Maintain detailed and organized inspection records and reports for all items reviewed.
- Communicate quality concerns, recurring issues, and non-conformances to supervisors and project leadership in a timely manner.
- Follow established quality standards, procedures, and safety guidelines throughout all inspection activities.
- Work efficiently to help reduce the backlog of products awaiting inspection within the project timeframe.
- Handle garments and related materials carefully to prevent damage during inspection and measurement.
- Stand, move, bend, and handle products throughout the workday to complete assigned inspection tasks.
Essential Skills
- Ability to read and interpret garment specification sheets and technical documents.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately and apply basic measurement techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in measurements and visual inspections.
- Basic math and measurement skills to verify dimensions and compare them to specifications.
- Proficiency with data entry and recordkeeping in a computer-based system.
- Ability to work independently while meeting productivity and quality goals.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and handle garments and related materials as needed.
- Manual dexterity for measuring, inspecting, and recording information.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
