Job Title: Production Assembler
Job Description
This role involves working on a production line in a large manufacturing facility, assembling components that become part of battery products. - Remain on your feet for long periods of time while performing assembly and production tasks throughout the shift.
- Lift and handle battery packs weighing up to 80 pounds as part of a two-person lift, working with a small crane operator to safely maneuver the batteries.
- Visually inspect parts as they move through the machine to verify quality and identify any defects or irregularities.
- Operate machine controls, including pushing buttons as needed to move parts through to the next station in the process.
- Input production data into a computer system and, when required, record information by hand on log sheets to maintain accurate records.
- Monitor the filling cycle, which takes approximately one minute per part, and log completion data once each cycle finishes.
- Work in a steady-paced environment, focusing on accuracy, safety, and quality rather than speed.
- Participate in cross-training across different areas of the plant over time to support flexible staffing and broaden your skills.
- Support material movement by pulling and carrying parts to machines, and later, once trained, assist with forklift and overhead crane operations in the shipping area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while working with machinery, materials, and lifting equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production area.
