Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description

The Cloud Security team is dedicated to identifying, containing, and eliminating cybersecurity threats within software and services. This role supports the discovery, evaluation, and remediation of security vulnerabilities and ensures the integrity of our systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the discovery, evaluation, and remediation of security vulnerabilities.
• Monitor existing vulnerability scanners and dashboards.
• Update or create required documentation for the Vulnerability Management (VM) program.
• Conduct triage to determine the severity and impact of identified vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate with teams to communicate vulnerabilities and determine remediation approaches.
• Assist in developing metrics to support tracking the effectiveness of the VM program.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in AWS, SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in triaging cybersecurity vulnerabilities and understanding the CVSS system.
• Familiarity with Cloud Security (AWS) and container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Ability to understand existing SQL queries and develop/fine-tune new queries.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Open to learning new Security Operations technologies and skills.
• Familiarity with Go coding.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote with the core team available from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm PST. The individual must be able to work for at least 4 hours during this period, with the remaining hours worked outside this time window.
