Job Summary
We are hiring a Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for safely handling materials, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring accurate inventory management while adhering to strict safety, quality, and GMP standards. Candidates must be comfortable working in cold and freezer conditions and flexible across shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, transport, and store materials safely within warehouse and production areas
- Operate equipment such as electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and high reach trucks
- Load, unload, build, break down, and organize pallets for shipping and production
- Work efficiently in cold storage and freezer environments while maintaining safety
- Perform accurate data entry to track inventory and material movement
- Verify product counts and quantities using strong math skills
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety protocols
- Comply with warehouse safety standards, including safe lifting (up to 75 lbs)
- Support production schedules, including early start times when required
- Maintain high attendance and punctuality standards
- Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors for smooth operations
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of warehouse/material handling experience
- Experience operating electric pallet jack, forklift, and high reach truck (all required)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in cold and freezer environments for extended periods
- Strong basic math skills (must pass in-house math test: 16 questions in 15 minutes)
- Basic computer skills with data entry experience (Excel preferred)
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and communication)
- Ability to work:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (with flexibility for 4:00 a.m. start)
- 3rd Shift: 9:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. (Sunday–Thursday)
- Strong commitment to safety and reliability in a safety-sensitive role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a food production or GMP-regulated environment
- Familiarity with inventory systems and warehouse tracking tools
- Demonstrated strong attendance and work ethic
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and quality standards
Work Environment
- Food production facility with strict GMP compliance
- Exposure to cold and freezer conditions
- Multi-shift operation, including early mornings and overnight shifts
- Strict dress code:
- No jewelry, makeup, or ripped clothing
- Hair nets/beard nets required

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
