Production Worker
Job Description
This role involves working on a production line to load and unload parts, prepare products for cutting and powder coating, and support packaging and shipping activities while maintaining consistent quality and meeting production goals. You will contribute directly to a manufacturing process that produces durable, attractive, and environmentally conscious building products.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload parts and products onto pallets in a safe and organized manner.
- Prepare parts and products for cutting by measuring materials accurately to appropriate specifications.
- Prepare parts and products to be shipped for powder coating, ensuring correct identification and staging.
- Perform general production and packaging tasks, including packing products securely for shipment.
- Support production line operations, including basic machine operating tasks as assigned.
- Use a tape measure to verify measurements and confirm materials meet required dimensions.
- Inspect parts and products visually to ensure they meet quality standards before moving to the next stage.
- Follow established quality standards and processes throughout the facility to maintain consistency.
- Meet production deadlines and goals by working efficiently and maintaining steady output.
- Assist with general labor tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills
- Experience in production, general labor, or general production work.
- Ability to perform packaging and packing tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Experience with loading and unloading materials on a production line or in a warehouse setting.
- Basic machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use a tape measure to take accurate measurements.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
- Attention to detail for inspection and quality checks.
- Ability to follow established processes and quality standards.
- Reliability and consistency in meeting production deadlines and goals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Experience with plastic manufacturing or similar industrial environments is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and advance into roles such as machine operator, forklift operator, or lead.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to rotating shift schedules and training periods.

Work Environment
This role operates in a plastic manufacturing environment that is not temperature controlled, so conditions may vary with the weather. The schedule primarily follows a 3rd-shift 4x4 rotating schedule from 5:45 p.m. to 6:16 a.m. Training is conducted on a day-shift schedule from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. for approximately two weeks before transitioning to the rotating shift. Orientations typically occur on Monday afternoons. The facility includes multiple buildings within a short distance, each supporting different business units, and you may work in one of these locations depending on operational needs. The environment involves standard industrial equipment, production lines, and material handling activities, with an emphasis on safety and adherence to established procedures.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
