Description
- Splice both loose tube and ribbon fiber optic cables.
- Perform fusion splicing for single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables.
- Conduct performance tests on optical fibers using OTDRs, power meters, and light sources.
- Read and interpret network installation blueprints and splice schedules.
- Troubleshoot and repair fiber networks to ensure high-quality service.
- Operate specialized equipment and vehicles for fiber optic splicing.
- Document and report on completed installations, noting any irregularities or issues.
- Adhere to industry safety standards and protocols during all installations and repairs.
- Stay updated on the latest fiber optic technology, equipment, and techniques.
