Job Description
This role involves supporting a large-scale environmental remediation project in a residential area affected by historical industrial impacts. The primary focus is on soil removal and related field activities across multiple active excavation sites. This project operates seasonally during the warmer months and pauses over the winter, resuming the following year. Team members will engage in field operations, environmental monitoring, and coordination of site activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day field operations in active excavation areas.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and coordination of site activities.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead and oversee field teams and contractors, if in a leadership role.
- Perform environmental sampling, air monitoring, and construction oversight.
- Coordinate with field teams and contractors for smooth operations.
- Maintain a safety-focused mindset and adhere to site safety practices.
- Experience with remedial action, remediation construction, soil remediation, soil stabilization, excavation, and earthworks.
- Comfortable working outdoors in active construction or remediation environments.
- Ability to work in a field-based role for an extended seasonal assignment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience leading crews or overseeing active work areas is preferred.
- Environmental sampling or air monitoring experience is an advantage.
- Drone operation experience and required licensure is a strong plus.
- Ability to commit to seasonal work with the opportunity to return for future project phases.
This position involves a seasonal field assignment running from late spring through early fall, with a planned pause during winter months and resumption the following year. Roles can be either local or travel-based, depending on the position. The environment covers multiple openings, including leadership, field support, monitoring, and coordination functions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of West Chester, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
